Jasper County School District To Hold Invite A Minister To Lunch Days This Month
There will be two Invite A Minister To Lunch Days at the Jasper County School District in May. The first one will be held on May 20 from 10a.m. until 1p.m. on the Ridgeland campus and also on May 20 from 11a.m. until Noon at the Jasper County Alternative School. The second event will be on May 22 from 10a.m. until 1p.m. on the Hardeeville campus. RSVP to the school of your choice. Classified Employees of the Month
JCSD held the Classified Employees of the Month breakfast in recognition of those selected by their supervisors for the month of April. The event was sponsored by Jasper’s Porch and held at the restaurant. Please join me in congratulating all of the nominees for their awards, including Stephanie Chisholm, Rosemary Mitchell, Joyce Brown, Nyrita Austin, Virginia Ansley, Rosella Prilow and Gloria Fullington. Teacher of the Month
JCSD held the Teacher of the Month event for April. The event was held at Sergeant Jasper Park in Hardeeville. Please join me in congratulating the April Teachers of the Month. The winners included Shaquanda Stevenson (Ridgeland Elementary School), Amanda Ruter (Ridgeland-Hardeeville High School), Ashley Hunter Herndon (Hardeeville-Ridgeland Middle School), and Annette Davis (Hardeeville Elementary School). Magaret McClain, Honor Roll Teacher

Shellie Murdaugh presented with the “Golden Achievement” Award
The Jasper County School District’s Public Information Officer, Shellie Murdaugh was recognized by the South Carolina Chapter of the National School Public Relations Association (SC/NSPRA) on Friday, April 19, 2013 during its 2013 Rewards for Excellence Awards Luncheon held at the South Carolina State Museum in Columbia SC. Shellie Murdaugh was presented with the “Golden Achievement” Award for the Jasper County School District Consolidation Information. Pete Pillow of the SC/NSPRA presented Mrs. Murdaugh with the award.
